Résumé
Mainly known for his work with M.I.A, which earned him an invitation to the Grammies, international globetrotter Wesley Pentz, aka Diplo, has probably produced as many remixes as he has stamps in his passport. Back in 2003 in Philadelphia, with his partner Low Budget, he started his own club nights called Hollertronix, and soon became one of the first DJs to blend mainstream pop hits with underground ghetto sounds.

This appetite for breaking barriers between genres became even more significant when Diplo became the official ambassador of a fast-paced, provocative, electronic music from Brazil known as “Baile Funk”. Diplo even ended up dedicating 5 years of his hectic life to directing an in-depth documentary about the genre, which he called “Favela on Blast“.
